TRANSFORMING EMMALEDALE PARK TO WHITNEY STREET FOOTPATH LINKAGE FOR SAFE SCHOOL COMMUTES

This project ensures a safe passage for school children, providing them with a secure route through Auckland Creek from Pioneer Drive to Emmadale Park. The design involved meticulous planning to guarantee safety and efficiency.

Project Highlights:

  • Safe Passage Design: Ensured a secure pathway for school children, enabling them to traverse Auckland Creek safely.

  • Geometrical Precision: Conducted thorough vertical and horizontal geometrical checks for the entire footpath linkage, ensuring structural integrity and user safety.

  • Floodway Assessment: Performed comprehensive drainage assessments for Q100 and Q50 flood levels, evaluating the culvert capacity to manage flood risks effectively.

  • Signage Design: Created all relevant sign faces for the area, focusing on clear and effective communication of directions and safety information.

  • Community Safety Focus: The design prioritizes the safety of pedestrians, especially school children, making it easier and safer for them to commute between Pioneer Drive and Emmadale Park.

  • Innovative Solutions: Implemented modern design solutions to address potential drainage and floodway challenges, ensuring the pathway remains functional and safe under various conditions.

  • Collaborative Effort: Worked closely with local authorities and stakeholders to ensure the project met community needs and regulatory standards.
